Reading Rainbow

With more unstructured time and fewer responsibilities, summer is the season to fall in love with books as a family. Here are some ways to get started.

0-12 Month-Olds: Read to your little — and not just simple books! Babies may be drawn in by listening to the rhythm of the language when you read from a book for older kids.

12-24 Month-Olds: Start engaging with your kiddo as you read by asking them to point out colors and objects.

24+ Month-Olds: The library is a great place for two year olds! Take regular trips and encourage kids to pick out books that catch their eye.
