Qeepsake makes creating your digital baby book or family journal easy. By sending age-appropriate journaling prompts straight to your phone, your family’s journey is captured with just one text a day. But when it comes to journaling with a Qeepsake membership, many parents wonder how to write meaningful journal entries.

If you’re wondering how much to write in your Qeepsake journal or who to write to, we’re here to help. Here are some tips on how to answer your Qeepsake questions, and how to write your own spontaneous journal entries.

Share a story you want to remember.

There’s no doubt about it – parenting is busy. But if you’re looking to make a Qeepsake Book full of meaningful journal entries, take a few extra seconds to jot down the smaller details you don’t want to forget.

That being said, if you only have time for a few words a day, you should still absolutely write those down! A little is better than nothing, and every journal entry will still add up to a meaningful Qeepsake Book in the end.

Add a photo to make your journal entries more memorable.

Some Qeepsake prompts will invite you to share a photo to accompany your journal entry. Dig into your camera roll so your most meaningful memories are saved in your Qeepsake journal. Every photo you save can be printed in your Qeepsake Book — you’ll love looking back on your memories in print, long after you’ve saved them!

Remember, Qeepsake Premium members can upload videos, too! Maximize your membership by taking advantage of this feature and upload videos to look back on in app.

Journal whenever you can.

Milestones can happen whenever, wherever — middlestones even more so! Spontaneous entries allow you to text in a memory you feel that needs to be recorded, whenever you want. Whether it’s remembering something funny your child did or being up at 4am for a feeding, you can submit a spontaneous entry at any time, no questions asked.

Whatever comes naturally to you, however it comes, is best.

Many parents wonder how they should be answering their Qeepsake questions. We see the majority of Qeepsake parents and families writing in the third person about their child, as opposed to directly to the child. It ultimately comes down to preference — if you feel like writing a letter directly to your child, then go for it! If it feels more natural to write in third person, that works to.

For example:

“If you could freeze time with Luke, what moment would you stop on?”
Any time that Luke is snuggling in my lap. I could be happy in that moment for a lifetime.
Any time you are snuggling in my lap. I’d be happy with you right there for the rest of my life.

Write journal entries from the heart.

You’re building your digital baby book or family journal text by text. In the end, this is a gift from you to them, sharing about their childhood and overall family journey. Every memory deserves to be saved, one text at a time, however you’d like to tell it. Put your heart into it and you’re guaranteed to make a meaningful Qeepsake Book!
